This is a bright and colourful way to display children’s birthdays in the group using one of their favourite characters.
You will need:
Large pieces of white paper of card
Paints or collage materials
Envelopes
Small square photos of the child’s face
Activity:
Selotape together several pieces of white paper and draw a large Postman Pat holding an envelope. On the envelope write in large letters happy birthday, and either paint or collage Postman Pat in your own choice of materials.
Once dry place him on the wall, then on more white paper draw a large sack big enough to affix one envelope for each child in the group, and paint the sack brown. On each envelope write the childs name and their birthday underneath, centred where the address should be. Then take a small photo of the childs face and cut it out and place in the top right hand corner as a stamp.
Next fix all the envelopes onto the sack and place on the wall by Postman Pats feet.
